the hall of justice

about this project

The Hall of Justice stands as a monument to the administration of justice in Trinidad and Tobago. A joint venture with the firm HKPA (United Kingdom), the design involved careful consideration of compatibility with the scale of the neighbouring buildings and Woodford Square. The specialised brief for the design of the courts, with separate discrete circulation patterns, proved challenging. Construction started with only 15 drawings, but there were more than 3,000 by completion. Design highlights include the major internal spaces, the court hall, as well as the convocation hall.
