about this project

This elevated annex marries what we typically need out of an annex- more space, with what we desperately want out of our homes – a good vibe! The addition houses its own living area with a mini kitchen & wine bar, all tucked away in approx. 270 sq. ft. of space. The ability to effortlessly entertain was key to the flow of this small space and as such, a strong connection to the outdoor and indoor living area was established through the use of large burglar resistant sliding doors that open to the supporting patio area. As part of the annex, a private reading nook and balcony is accessed by an internal spiral stair that acts as both a sculptural element and a focal point of the design.
