these new premises for the institute of marine affairs consist of four buildings clustered around a small piazza. the research block (shown here) includes 15 labs for marine chemistry, fisheries and aquaculture, and environmental research. the information block includes the library, it offices, and children’s education facilities. the auditorium includes an exhibition gallery and small bar; while the administrative block houses all operational staff on two floors, flanked by a parade of aquaria.
