civic

built in 1978, this complex of buildings houses the central bank of trinidad and tobago and various departments of the ministry of finance. the existing city scale at the time was preserved by the configuration and height of a three-storey podium block which houses the auditorium, security and banking facilities, executive area and finance podium. the towers’ structural columns are located outside the building envelope to allow floor plan flexibility, while the wedge-shaped block and entrance plaza create inviting access off the brian lara promenade.
